When sin entered the world, it affected every aspect of human nature—including the mind.

When believers repeatedly dwell on God's truth, they are not merely engaging in a spiritual exercise.

They are participating in a process of both spiritual obedience and brain transformation.

As Scripture renews the mind, new patterns of thinking emerge.

If believers are not actively renewing their minds, they are passively being shaped by these influences.

There is no neutral position.

5. God Designed Us to Flourish Through Renewed Thinking

Ultimately, God commands mind renewal because He knows how human beings function.

As our Creator, He understands that our thought life influences every area of our lives.

Our thoughts shape our emotions.

Our emotions influence our decisions.

Our decisions become habits.

Our habits form our character.

And our character shapes our destiny.

God's command is an expression of His wisdom and love.

Saturate Your Mind With Scripture

God's Word provides the truth necessary to replace false beliefs and destructive thinking patterns.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

Evaluate Your Thoughts

Regularly examine your thinking in light of Scripture.

Ask whether your thoughts align with God's truth or the world's perspective.

Focus on What Is True
